I’m hoping my day gets better. This post will no doubt be a little scattered. Which is exactly what my brain looks like at this minute. Or at least I think that’s what it would look like If I could find it.
Already today, the McResidence has witnessed a tantrum of epic proportions. It may have been the mother of all tantrums. The Big Ka-Hun-a. Between the shotty internet service and my frustration with all manner of Suddenlink, I am ready to blow my top.
And it is only 8:49am.
Yes, you read that right. The tantrum.
It was mine.
At this very moment, my internet is working. However, it can and probably will go down before I finish this post. I have been in contact with my new BFF, Mr. A, who is a Suddenlink big-wig and I do appreciate his attention to my internet woes, however, he needs to understand that our relationship would be blossoming at a faster rate if the internet coming into the McResidence could be repaired. If Mr. A. had any idea how my sanity was suffering, I think he’d be at the McResidence himself climbing that pole like a gray squirrel to get to the bottom my internet problems.
Seriously, I think I might be losing my mind.
While on the phone last night, a Suddenlink technician placed a work order for my house. Mr Suddenlink Phone Guy informed me that a field technician would be at my house between 7am and 8pm today. Thirteen friggin’ hours. Are you kidding me? Am I the only one who finds that time window unreasonable. It’s as if I have nothing better to do than to remain at home for thirteen hours so that the Suddenlink guy can pay me a visit.
Totally freakin’ unacceptable.
[Oh, Verizon, I do miss you so. You can thank McDaddy for putting the kabosh on you. I tried.]
Really I did.
I fought for you the same way I fought for my beloved TiVo when McDaddy decided that Dish Network would better suit our needs.
Dish Network lasted maybe a week.
I don’t even allow the words dish. and network. to be uttered in this house.
Period.
I did not have the same power of persuasion with McDaddy’s internet choice though.
[Suddenlink just showed up to install some sort of gray box on the side of my house. It is probably set to blow me to smithereens the next time I place a call to customer service.]

In other news, I had lunch at the Olive Garden today.
A sweet friend from our church is celebrating her birthday (77th) on Wednesday and I am taking her out for lunch today. She picked the Olive Garden because it is her favorite place to eat. It happens to be one of my favorites too. This is what I will eat.
I’m hungry just looking at the picture.

My sweet Alex woke up with a cough bark today. Here we go! I guess its our turn for the stupid infectuous cough crap again. The nebulizer is on standby. I am praying that it will not last long. No one knows how bad I hate it when my kids are sick. Especially when the rational half of the McDuois on a 6-month vacation. Sheesh. What will happen next?
Never mind. I didn’t just say that.
I know it could be a lot worse, but for some reason everything is magnified these days.
I think I hear some strong medication off in the distance calling my name.

On another note, I wish the stupid bunch of crows would leave my trash alone. It is a ginormous aggravation to arrive home to find that the stupid bunch of crowshave partied in my trash pile. My sweet neighbor, RB, picked my trash up last week because the stupid bunch of crows had strung it out all over our street. Too bad the only gun in my house is my beloved wooden majorette rifle. Otherwise, I’d blow their brains out.
Just sayin’

Okay, that’s enough ranting for one day.
I’m off to the post office to mail my favorite things package for Mamarazzi’s Favorite Things Swap. My favorite things are going to Jessica over at Family of Four. I am excited to participate in this swap and can’t wait to see what her favorite things are. Maybe a Coach bag will be on her list. Or maybe a Saturn Sky. Or even better, maybe some great internet service.
Have a great week internets!

Well, Steve should have known not to go against his brother’s bread and butter!
You poor dear! I hate weeks like that, had one myself a couple of weeks ago. I finally gave in, fixed a big ol’ cup of hot chocolate, grabbed a bowl of ice cream and ran for the motorhome out in the driveway, it’s the ONLY place there is no noise, no aggravation and still has a tv that dear hubby has hooked up. I hope they get your internet problem fixed that has got to be maddening with your hubby gone. I’ll keep a good thought and spare ice cream around if you need to just pack it up & head to TN. Get that camper of yours plugged into the house and run to it, works for me everytime.
Once upon a time, THERE WAS NO INTERNET.
Just sayin’.
I love ya, Julie — just tryin’ to keep it light.
Thanks again for Ma-ma sitting last night. We REALLY enjoyed the movie. You’re a jewel of a princess!
