Holy crap. Where to start.
As I sit here in my big, blue, bloggy chair, I am having trouble figuring out where to begin. It’s been that kind of week. A DOOZIE if you will. The good news is that February is gone. That means that me, my fellas and McDaddy made it through one month of deployment. Only 5 more to go…. just typing that makes me sad.
Where was I? Yes, things I’ve learned. I suppose it would be easiest to fall back on ye ole’ list because that seems much easier than arranging transitions between each point. That, and because I really love a list. It keeps everything nice, neat, and orderly.
Okay, [in the words of Simon Cowell] off we go.
1. No matter what the gimmick (speed, price, package), you should NEVER choose Suddenlink as your internet provider if you wish to actually connect to the internet each and every time you log on. In their defense though, they have the BEST customer service of any company I have ever dealt with.
2. When contacting the Social Security Office to find out what your legal name is you should by all means check their office hours before sitting on the line for 18 minutes.
3. The mere fact that you have to contact the Social Security office to find out what your legal name is speaks volumes. (ahem!)
4. Apparently, the mere mention of my spending $32.50 of 1 ounce of Arbonne Virtual Primer is a sure-fire way to get a blog comment from McDaddy.
5. It takes 10 days for a modem to arrive in WV from McDaddy’s 6-month vacation locale.
6. Dropping a piece of Visions Cookware in the sink will most likely break the handle off.
7. Starbucks makes the worst cup of hot chocolate on the planet (and the most expensive). It tasted like the gals behind the counter melted a full sized Hershey’s dark chocolate bar in a cup and added water. I seriously thought I was going to vomit.
8. Suddenlink has a twitter page. And for some unknown reason they want to follow me.
9. No matter how IT IS SUPPOSED to work, WordPress has a stubborn streak and for some reason it refuses to wrap the text around my pictures and buttons. Even my good bloggy design friend couldn’t figure it out. GRRR.. Things such as these make me crazy.
10. It is impossible for me to have a list of 9 items. In my world, it just can’t happen. Sorry.
Head on over to Musings Of A Housewife to see what others have learned this week.

Sorry to hear about the deployment. I want to thank you and your husband for your service!
I can’t imagine what it would be like to have my husband deployed while you are at home raising a family.
Thank your wonderful husband for serving our great country and fighting for our freedom! But, they are the only ones who deserve thanks…you…their families deserve many thanks to for supporting your husband’s choice to serve our country. You are making a great sacrifice as well.
May God pour out His blessings on you and your family.
I hope your internet probs only get better from here!
Sounds like you had one of those weeks. I hope this week is better.
I hope that March goes faster and better for you than February did….much like your wishes for your internet service. (((hugs))) I’m praying for you!! Love ya!
I love that you cannot have a list of 9.
One month down, six to go, huh??? Hang in there!!!!! And I’m sorry you can’t get your words to wrap. That is CUH-razy.
Oh…I meant to ask if you were successful in finding out what your legal name was.
Tell us how you really feel about Suddenlink – LOL! They have got to fix your internet. What is wrong with them? Have to agree on the Starbucks Hot Chocolate – I bought a container to make at home. UGH – disgusting.
Julie — last update I received was that things were working now, Internet-wise? If that’s not accurate, please let me know.
Is that really the Suddenlink guy above me…
I hate when the blog doesn’t work the way we want, drives me nuts!
Hope March goes fast for you!!! And smoothly.
