Sweeping Success
March 17th, 2009

A year or so ago, my brother-in-law mentioned to me that he had purchased a robotic vacuum called a Roomba.
I chuckled and thought about how silly that sounded.
Until I saw the booger at work.
I was amazed and amused.
Then, I decided to order one for myself.

Before leaving my house everyday, I pick up the rugs and start the roomba. I return to a freshly swept floor and the only work I do is replacing the rugs and emptying the dirt trap.
The roomba WORKS FOR ME.
Head on over to We Are THAT Family for more things that work for you.

Crazy Technical Junk

Oh, I wanted one of these for YEARS. Then, we finally got one. The problem? It kept getting stuck on our carpet (it was new and fairly thick). So I decided to let it just do the hardwoods, but then it deposited a bunch of gunk on the edges of the area rugs as it went up on the rug from the hard floor. Brought it back to the store and was so disappointed
I wonder – maybe they’ve improved? I’d love to know about the types of floors you use it on…
Good to know! I have always wondered if they were as cool as they seemed
Hubby and I talked about getting one now that we will (hopefully) have no carpet in the main level of the houe. They are so cool!
we’ve been debating this for a long time….not sure if it is worth it or not. Honestly, not much of a debate for me because vacuuming is the one house task that the hubs thinks is HIS job…..tee…hee…
i’ve always wanted one of these but am concerned a) that it will fall down the stairs and b) that my cat will either fear or destroy it
Roomba – ours quit holding a charge; but it worked well while it lasted! Any ideas? Our cat followed it around. The dog ignored it. Do recommend!
