The top 9 perform their own choice of song this week as long as it is a popular download on iTunes. [whatever that means.]

ANOOP DESAI – “Caught Up” -  Um, I’ve never heard this song and I’m not too impressed with Noop Dog’s version of it. And, if you ask me, he looks all-caught-up in that jacket-and-chain-thing. Sorry, Noop. It doesn’t work for me dawg. - Randy is torn. Kara compares the performance to a dare from a group of frat guys. Paula calls him a balladier [wow. that's a new word] and then stumbles all over herself talking about signature blah blah blah, Simon calls it “a complete, utter, mess” and says the performance gave him a headache.

MEGAN “I’VE DROPPED MY LAST NAME” JOY – “Turn Your Lights Down Low” -  [Wow. That's A LOT of jewelry.] I’ve never heard of this song either. Again, not at all impressed, but I am so happy that she is not doing the shimey. – Kara mentions the words wrong & song & choice, Paula doesn’t like it, Simon says the song was boring, indulgent and monotonous, and Randy agrees with the other three judges. [Megan, girl what is with all that crap around your neck forpetessake].

DANNY GOKEY – “What Hurts The Most” -  [Oh, this should be good! Come on Danny-Boy]. Love it! Love him! Oh Danny, great song choice and great job! – Paula likes it, Simon calls it his best performance [YES!], Randy says ‘he brought it crazy with the vocals’, Kara says he moved everyone in the room emotionally. [And I am standing and clapping like a crazy person].

ALLISON IRAHETA – “Don’t Speak - [Oh, I love this song, but it seriously looks like something crawled in her head and died. What is that pasted on the side of her head?] Okay. Aside from all that is going on in her hair and the white shoes which I’m pretty sure is a no-no before Easter, I think she is doing an okay job. It’s just okay for me. - Randy mentions that the performance is a little rushed and goes on to ask, “dude, i’m not, you know, what are you wearing, what is with this outfit?” [You took the words right out of my mouth, Dawg], Kara says the performance was a little forced, Paula likes the guitar and loved the performance, Simon is smirking and mentions that her outifit looks like it comes from the Adams Family. [Just pull me up a chair, I would fit right in].

SCOTT MCINTYRE – “Just The Way You Are” – It’s just Scott and the piano. He is brilliant at the piano. I love it!!!  His best performance by far. – Kara said he made some smart decisions with the song choice and the piano and she LOVES  his new look, Paula admires him and liked the performance, Simon says it was his best performance by a country mile and calls him “a different Scott,” Randy calls it one of the best performances of the night.” [YEAH, SCOTT!]

MATT GIRAUD – “You Found Me” -  Is it just me or did America get it ALL WRONG last week placing him in the bottom 3? [Never heard of this song. Is it me or is he right in the middle of the audience? Oh, he is.] This song is quite different from anything he’s done before. Its just okay. - Paula is not impressed and didn’t like the song choice, Simon calls it “very put on and uptight,” Randy is not impressed and neither is Kara. [Shoot Matt, I really like you!]

LIL ROUNDS – “I Surrender” – [Yikes, that dress is a bit tight!] Lil has an impressive set of pipes for sure. I like it but it almost sound like a few of her notes are going flat. Again, it is just okay. - Randy is still complaining about song choice but says she sang the song really well, Kara is going down dramatic lane again – puhhllleeassee, make her stop, Paula liked it and Simon calls it “similar to a wedding performance.”

ADAM LAMBERT – “Play That Funky Music [WhiteBoy]“ – [Praise the Lord he has the hair out of his face again this week and he is showing off that great smile!] In the words of Randy Jackson, this song is “off da hook!” I LOVE IT!!!!  My favorite performance of his and so far, my favorite performance tonight [sorry, Danny!] **Rewinding the DVR to watch it again because It was THAT good!” – Paula [who looks like shes about to lose one of the girls out the top of that dress!] loves it!, Simon calls it original, Randy says, “he worked it out!” and Kara liked it!

KRIS ALLEN – “Ain’t No Sunshine” – [My other favorite]. He’s at the keyboard this time and DANG! this cat can sing like a bird. I LOVE IT! Chills. Chills. and more chills. That was FABULOUS! – Randy says it was creative, Kara talks about artistry and loves it, Paula says it was his best performance and Simon said the arrangement was clever and liked the performance. **Rewinding to watch it again. And again. And again.** Wow! Just wow.
