If You’re Looking For Me, I’ll Be In The Kitchen

in Because I Like To Ramble

Dear Readers:

It’s going to be a busy week here at Inmates. In addition to the daily dose of crazy that I serve up here, I am guest writing all this week over at Happy To Be At Home for their Kitchen of the Week feature.

I KNOW! It sounds crazy.

I’m so excited! I never thought I’d use the words ME and KITCHEN in the same blog post, especially for a week-long feature, but I’m going to give it a shot. Don’t get me wrong, I love to eat. It’s just that I’m not known in most circles for my culinary expertise. The good news is that the guest feature motivated me to clear off the kitchen counter that usually houses all manner of clutter long enough to snap this picture.

Sweet hallelujah, it looks glorious.

Look quickly. It probably won’t stay that way for long.

Look closely. See where the stools are? That’s the counter-top that is typcially covered with papers, mail, newspapers and anything else that happens to be in my hands when I walk through the front door. It makes me happy to look into the kitchen and actually see the countertops.

I plan to spend lots of time in the kitchen this week so I do hope you’ll visit me over there.

Sincerely,

June Cleaver

I mean this in THE ABSOLUTE BEST WAY POSSIBLE, but that photo of your kitchen looks like it is in a dollhouse. WAIT!! Let me explain it…everything is in its place, all of the details are perfect, and it’s so cute and lovely. I think that awesome slanted ceiling helps, too. :) It’s a compliment! Really! :) I love it. :)

It IS in a doll house!! FOUR dolls live there. It is a house of love, peace, love, serenity, love, a prince, love, a princess, love, 2 sweet young princes, love; and did I mention LOVE? If not, let me say that the whole house embraces one with LOVE as one enters in. Warmth, love, peace, and love. Sweet, sweet love. Just sayin’.

I love the roomy kitchen! And the ceilings are great, our new house has those kind of ceilings too, one reason I fell in love with it! Are the counters still clean?? heehee
