Bras and Bats

Welcome to another edition of Things I Learned This Week.

I’m sure Jo-Lynne over at Musings Of A Housewife would be surprised to find out that her blog carnival was a topic of conversation during my night out with the girls. It came up while we were discussing things like bras and bats.

Yes, I said bats.

Lets kick this thing off…..

Things I Learned This Week (in no particular order)

- A paintball will kill a bat. (Odd, but from what I understand, true)

- When purchasing a scrapbook for a year’s worth of completed scrapbook pages, it is a good idea to purchase all refill pages at the same time or else you might find yourself making multiple trips to Michael’s in search of one last pack of pages for the next three months.

- The technicians at Suddenlink will keep at it until all of your internet woes are corrected. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. And Amen.  (Thanks, Mr. A for all of your help! I’m glad you found my blog!)

- If you find yourself out with the girls on the same day that you lose your sanity for 39 minutes thanks to the raging hormones that are taking over your body and you are in search of a chocolate fix, you should know that purchasing a 6-pack of Reese eggs (to share, of course) at Toys-R-Us will cost you $1.10 more than if you wait until you hit Target.

- After breastfeeding two kids, the girls will never be the same. You will be reminded of that for years to come each and every time you try on a new bra.

- When purchasing monster trucks for easter baskets, it is a safe bet that you will pay more at Toys-R-Us than you will at Target. (Do you see a trend?)

- Being a guest blogger for Happy To Be At Home’s Kitchen of the Week feature actually requires you to spend more time in the kitchen and, you know, cook.

There you have it. Now, wasn’t that fun?

Be sure to visit Musings Of A Housewife for more things that folks have learned this week.

I finally made your blog!

Thanks for the ToysRUs vs. Target breakdown. I often find myself feeling unsure of how much I should pay for that something special and I hate to go back to the first store to get that item because it was cheaper. I try to avoid the toy store because there are always so many children…not that I don’t like children, but you know what I’m saying.

Interesting about the bats and I feel ya with “the girls” never being the same. Such is life.

I have a feeling I will be purchasing a monster truck for an Easter basket as well so I appreciate your tip on where to purchase! Thank you! I guess it makes sense that a paint ball hurling out of a gun would kill a bat. Good to know!!

My girls sadly agree with yours. LOL!

Luckily the Toys R Us is not nearly as close to us as Target is…and I’d rather be in Target anyway! Nourishing children from “the girls” really takes a lot ouf ot them! ;)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! No, Snapper and Pepper are not their real names. I have enough traffic on my blog that I have changed their names to protect our privacy. =)

I had to read this again and I laughed just as hard as the first time!

I’ve experienced similar frustration in finding scrapbook pages to finish an album. Thanks for the tip on where to shop for the Easter candy-I won’t be getting to that until Saturday.

Unfortunately, I am not close to a Target or Toys R Us but I am glad to know.
I know what you mean about the “girls” too bad about that.

Oh Yes, Toys R’ Us and Babies R’ Us are way overpriced compared to Target. BUT, the R’ Us stores have a bigger selection unfortunately.

I know what you mean about “the girls”…it’s pretty darn scary after three babies! ;)

Glad your internet woes have (OH PLEASE!! OH PLEASE!!) ended! Whoo hoo!!

I’ve found it best to hit Target the day after all chocolate holidays and buy out the clearance chocolate. I know that meltdowns are coming and I need to be prepared with chocolate that not only tastes good, but makes me happy because I got it for a bargain. Now I just need to find a better place to stash the chocolate – it’s for my meltdowns, not theirs!

It is late, my eyes are bugging out but that was fun! You should have got the leapsters at Target on sale for $30.00 and printed the $10 off coupons before you went…I felt like a QUEEN when I walked out of target with a receipt that said you saved $63 HOLY MOLY! Happy Easter to me…now what can I go blow that $63 on!

Bras are always a topic of conversation with my friends, so you are not alone there!

Paint Balls will also kill mice…just an FYI. lol
