Confessions From Someone Who Didn’t Do It!

July 5, 2009

in Because I Like To Ramble

Welcome to another edition of Not Me, Monday. Which is a whole lot like a confessional, only not. Because it is certainly not me who is confessing that she did any of the following….

1. It was not me who gasped in shock at the news that my girl, Sarah Palin was resigning from her post as Governor of the state of Alaska. And since it wasn’t me who stood in shock as she talked in circles about the resignation, it certainly wasn’t me that murmured something like, “I’ll bet the brown stuff is getting ready to hit the fan!” It it had been me, I would say, Sarah, girlfriend, I am hoping with everything in me that there is not a scandal behind this decision, because I really like you and that sexy, fine hubby of yours.  I am hoping that this is strictly a decision based on you needing to spend more time with your family OR that you are simply looking into further political options.

2. It also wasn’t me who stood in shock as she heard the news that the King of Pop was dead. Wow! Not that it was me or anything but, sheesh, first Farrah Faucett and then MJ? And since it wasn’t me who stood in shock, it definitely wasn’t me who did an honorary moon-walk and crotch grab after watching the national news. Nope. Not me. I was not much of a fan after the legal trouble and subsequent acquittal, but man, could that freak thing guy sing. My favorite song of his, Black or White begged the question. Well, never mind. It wasn’t me anyway.

May the sequin glove rest in peace.

3. Oh, and it definitely wasn’t me who has stayed up well past her bedtime playing this highly addictive game on her iPhone every. night. this. week. I think I might have mentioned it once or twice before, but as I said, it wasn’t me this time. If it were me, my high score would probably be somewhere around 8,648 – just in case you’re wondering.

4. Oh, and just in case you heard the buzz around the hallowed halls of inmates, it was not me who watched an embalming a few weeks ago. Because if I had watched an embalming, you know I would have by all means wrote a post about it.

That’s it for me.

All the things I didn’t do this week.

I’ve always wanted to watch an embalming. Call me strange…I, too, share your thoughts about Palin’s resignation, and MJ’s passing. Good post!

Ditto on Palin – this is either political suicide or a propulsion into success.
MJ – Great dancer – his life was really sad, and his death even sadder. Can you imagine his family’s humiliation every single time they see that face in all the media — what in this WORLD was he thinking having all that surgery. He was actually a nice-looking young man – at one time.

Hey, I found your blog through MckMama’s… what a great “not me” post! It’s so fun to browse through them and get a few chuckles of all the things we “dont do”.
I also was going to ask for a bit of help. (this should take less than a minute) I entered my son in a Crazy Haired Baby photo shoot contest. He is in the top 9.. and it’s just down to who gets the most votes.
If you could click on this link: http://lucylimestudios.com/2009/07/crazy-haired-kids-casting-call-shannon-stevenson-lucy-lime/

Thanks for your help! Have a great day!
