From Inmates to Playdates

A few weeks ago, my boys and I spent two weeks with McDaddy’s sister, Angie and her family in New Hampshire. We had a great time visiting with them.

Each night before bed, their little family gathers in the bedroom for a short devotion and prayer time. They use thisbook and each child picks a devotion to read. The lessons are short and relevant to small children (and even adults, too!) Each devotion is accompanied by a corresponding Bible verse. After the devotion each person tells something they would like to pray about and they pray together.

It is a special time for their family and I appreciated them including us while we were there.

We picked up the book yesterday at Books-A-Million and now we too, plan to have an evening devotion in addition to our bedtime prayer time.
