It’s been a long day for me. A long three days, actually.
It’s been an even longer day for Baby Colton and his parents. I’d appreciate it if you would continue to pray for them.
I hadn’t planned on participating in You Capture this week, but I just got out of the shower with wet hair, and if I go to bed with wet hair it will be a hot mess in the morning.
I figured I might as well use the time to show you the door I’ve been staring at most of the week. It’s the door of the third floor waiting room of the birthing center.
It’s just a door, yet, it has been opened and closed hundreds of times this week by our family. In and out. Good news. Bad news. We sit with anticipation and watch those who walk by. We sit with eager eyes watching for my cousin or the palliative care nurse to come out with an update.
I’ve stared at this door for three days.

But, I’d much rather be staring at this door.

Happy Thursday, y’all!

Just visiting from You Capture. I’m not sure what is happening to Baby Colton, but I pray for his health and for the health of his mommy and family. I do know how exhausting it can be to sit in a hospital for days on end, especially when there is a sick baby you love on the other side of the door. My only piece of advice, stick with family and continue to take pictures, it can be the best kind of therapy.
