First, I’d like to start by thanking all of the folks who linked to “What I Learned This Week” last week. If I were Oprah, I’d give each one of you a new car (or probably a used Saturn Sky, if I’m being honest), but since I’m not, a simple thank you will have to do.
Here’s what I learned this week:
1. As it turns out, the “do not soak for more than ten seconds” warning on the back of a jar of jewelry cleaner is there for a reason.
2. If you go to bed and forget to remove your jewelry from the jewelry cleaner for eight hours, you should, by all means (once you’ve stopped crying hysterically because your Tiffany’s bracelet is ruined) call the number on the back of the cleaner. Â
3. Apparently, there is hope for a piece of jewelry that has been left in jewelry cleaner for eight hours. (I’m sure hoping they are right!)
4. The old [worn] soft top on the Wrangler was much easier to work with than a new, stiffer one.
5. [Grayish] purple glitter nail polish for fingernails is never a good idea. In fact, after two days, it may make you gag.
6. When your technical team (aka: Cathy) tells you that you need to find a new host or server or blah, blah, blah, it will be just as overwhelming as it sounds.
That’s what I learned this week.
Now, what did YOU learn?
